PLANOFIX (PGR)
PLANOFIX (PGR) is a plant growth regulator (PGR) that primarily contains the active ingredient Alpha-naphthyl Acetic Acid, which is known for its effectiveness in inhibiting the natural production of ethylene gas in plants.
PLANOFIX (PGR) Composition:
- Alpha-naphthyl Acetic Acid
PLANOFIX (PGR) Benefits:
1. Growth Regulation: Planofix effectively controls excessive vegetative growth, promoting a more compact plant structure, which is especially beneficial for crops that require support to withstand environmental stresses.
2. Improved Fruit Quality: By regulating growth, it enhances fruit quality attributes such as colour, size, and uniformity, leading to better marketability.
3. Increased Yield: The regulation of growth can lead to more efficient resource allocation within the plant, potentially resulting in increased yields.
4. Disease Resistance: Plants treated with PGRs can demonstrate heightened resistance to certain diseases and adverse environmental conditions.
Recommended Crops:
Bayer Planofix is suitable for a wide range of crops, including:
Tomato, Mango, Grapes, Cotton, Chilli, and Pineapple,
Application Timing:
- Planofix should ideally be applied during the early growth stages when plants are actively growing.
- For fruit trees, applications can be made after the bloom but before fruit set to optimise growth regulation.
Recommended Doses:
- Typical application rates often range from 0.1 to 0.5 litres per hectare, but precise recommendations should be adjusted based on the crop type and growth conditions.
When utilising any plant growth regulator, it’s important to follow the application guidelines carefully to avoid any adverse effects on plant health or yield.
Furthermore, consider the environmental impact and integrate sustainable practices within your crop management approach.
